If you're reporting a problem, it helps to include your device and its system version, Tutio's version (Settings → About), and what you did just before it happened.
On your device. If you never sign in, nothing you write leaves it. If you sign in to turn on sync, your notes are also stored on Tutio's server so your other devices can get them. See the privacy policy.
Open the account screen (the person icon), choose Sign in, and enter your email address. Tutio emails you a six-digit code; there is no password. Sign in with the same address on each device. Notes, tasks, tags, categories and the Timeline sync. Images and voice recordings stay on the device that made them.
Check your spam folder and that the address is typed correctly. You can ask for a new code after a minute.
No. Tutio works fully without one. Signing in only turns on sync.
On the phone, Tutio turns what you say into text on the device itself, using a speech model it downloads once with your permission. Recordings are never uploaded.
Another app may already own that shortcut. Open Settings in Tutio and set a different one. Tutio also has to be running for the hotkey to work.
On the Mac, when monitoring is on, things you copy are listed for 24 hours and then cleared. Keep turns an item into a note. You can pause monitoring or clear the list at any time. If you are signed in with clipboard sync on, text you copy on your Mac also appears on your phone. Passwords and other concealed copies are never kept or sent.
Open the Bin and restore it. Deleted items stay there for 30 days.
Yes. Settings → Data has Back up, which saves everything to a file you keep, Restore, and a plain-text export of your notes.
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. It also works in a browser; see deleting your account. Notes on your own devices are not removed.
Feature requests are welcome at the same address. Tutio is a small app by one person, so the answer may be no, but it will be an honest one.
